YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE: "I Poemed You"

african american poet appreciation love music poem relationship romeo & juliet

YOU
In
everything
I do
I poem you.
I try not
to do it,
but
once again today
I blew it.
I poemed you.
Whether with
needle or thread,
acrylics, charcoal or lead,
whether with the grey of clay
I poem you.
Legato
or
staccato,
I poem you.
When I write a book or cook
corn beef hash
or
the way I empty my trash,
I poem you.
Even till the day I die
uh-huh sigh,
My death at best
will be
probably
boo-hoo-hoo
a poem
for you.
